Mary Ann and Gary,
owners of Landscape Concepts, grew up in the horticultural
and agricultural industry and have honed their
skills with years of education and experience.
They are always seeking new and interesting plant
materials and better methods for maximizing the
potential of even the most difficult site conditions.

Mary Ann grew up in the horticultural industry. Her
family raised and sold a wide variety of annuals,
perennials, and vegetables (their current efforts
can be seen at zolockgardens.com). Mary
Ann has a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture,
Sustainable Agriculture and Plant Protection. She
worked for a florist and an orchid grower during
college and has has eight years of experience as
the Perennial and Annual Manager at Pound
Ridge Nurseries. Most recently, she
spent an exciting three years as the Outdoor
Gardens Manager at the New York Botanical
Gardens.

Gary grew up in the agricultural industry. His
family owned and operated a farm in Puerto
Rico where he developed extensive knowledge
and experience with crops and animals. Gary
spent six years working as the landscape
foreman at Pound Ridge Nurseries. He
also has three years of experience at the
Lawton Adams Construction Company as an
equipment operator. Gary is a highly
skilled craftsman who can turn even the
most ambitious of Mary Ann's designs into
a beautiful reality.

Michael was recruited into the business
when he was one week old. Now at 4 years, he
skillfully digs holes, moves plants, and provides
continuous inspiration. Our young horticulturist
always brings a smile to the job.
A “coqui” is a small frog native
to Puerto Rico that is admired for its gentle,
musical mating sound, “ko-kee”.
The male in particular begins his
song at sunset and sings all through the
night. He is as much a part of the native
environment as the hills, trees and flowers.
Let Landscape Concepts transform your garden
and landscape into a serene environment that
can be enjoyed both day and night for years
to come. |
